Furby Buddies are stuffed plush Furbys released in 1999 by Tiger Electronics. Most are based on adult Furby counterparts. There are two variations of Furby Buddies: Talking Furby Buddies and the beanbag Furby Buddies.

Talking Furby plushies based on the Furby 2012 were also released in 2013.

Basic Beanbag Buddies[]

The beanbag Buddies were the first Furby Buddies to be released. Each one had a big tag with a randomized name on them, and they came in all of the colors of Furby Generation 1, Generation 2, and Generation 3. They also came with one of four eye colors, just like the pre-2001 releases of their robotic counterparts. They are simple beanbag plush, similar to the popular trend of Beanie Babies at the time. Originally, there were supposed to be 5 Generations worth.

Possible tag names[]

Each Furby Buddy name is comprised of two Furbish words. The name of a Furby Buddy is dependent on its eye color and fur pattern. For example, a Snowball Furby Buddy with green eyes will have the name "Good Sleep" on its tag, and a Skunk Furby Buddy with brown eyes will have the name "No Hungry."

Talking Furby Buddies[]

Talking Furby Buddies were released shortly after the non-electronic Furby Buddies. Each one takes 2 AA Batteries and says 4 different phrases. Unlike non-electronic Furby Buddies which came in the colors of Furby Generations 1-3, Talking Furby Buddies came in unique color combinations.

Limited Edition Furby Buddies[]

There are two Limited Edition Furby Buddies. The Kid Cuisine talking buddy, and the Chicago Cubs Buddy. Though the Kid Cuisine Buddy is very rare (It was given to second place winners of the kid cuisine competition), The Chicago Cubs Buddy was only given out 6/3/2000 at Wrigley Field; only people who went to that game got the Furby. The Buddies that were not given out were never seen again, making this one of the rarest Furbys in the world.
