Official Furby Wiki

Mow Gwai is a 1998 Furby knock-off produced by CityWorld International. It's possible that the name "Mow Gwai" was inspired by the mogwais from the movie Gremlins. It is believed that they were made in 2005, while other sources say that they were made in 1999.

Appearance and Features[]

They came in six fur color variations.  Mow Gwai has fluffy fur on its ears, tiny vestigal arms, and a small red nose above its beak. They have a switch underneath allowing them to speak either German, French or English. However, when switched to German, they don’t speak any German. Like some other Furby fakes, Mow Gwai has no coded movements, meaning it moves in a loop until finished speaking. Unlike a 1998 Furby, they have an on/off switch, and they come with a feeding spoon.

Merchandise[]

Only one piece of merchandise is known to exist for Mow Gwai. This includes mini Mow Gwai plushes that vibrate when their tails are pulled. It is not known how many colors these plushes were released in.
