I have a small family of Furby friends and waiting for a couple of 1998s to arrive at my home soon.
furdish names
my mom got me a white baby brainy for christmas and i have been playing with it quite a bit bc ive always wanted a furby knockoff.
the names in particular are quite interesting as they dont follow the "word as a name" thing that genuine furbys do. furdish-speaking knockoffs will also sometimes use their name in place of "koh"/"me" in some phrases, eg. "noo-tye (name) kah-kah" ("tickle (name) again").
instead, furdish names are generated from two syllables, most of which dont seem to be part of a furdish word. a furdish fake can have the same syllable for both halves of a name, as stated in the manual for furbish. robotic furdish is most likely exempt from this as i havent seen one say their name.

research- why it's important to hard-restart after putting a 98 into test mode!
i put my sherbet furby, slushy, into the diagnostics mode while doing maintenance on them. their mechanisms do work but they came to me in bad shape and didnt boot at all when i first got them so i had to do the advanced motor force start to get them working. anyway.
soft resetting the furby while it's in diagnostics mode will send "corrupted" data to the eeprom (responsible for storing and saving data pertaining to the furby's name, voice pitch, and proficiency stage), but im not sure if it's actually corrupted data or an error due to the revised firmware. notable differences with this eeprom data are:
the furby's voice pitch will be somewhere between low and medium
the furby's name will always be doo-moh (please)
the furby will always be sic…

So, I'm showing the colored version of the drawing on my post in Discussion, here is the Furby Chatterboxes first variant design!
Furby Chatterboxes, like most of the Furbys throughout the years, can respond to light, sound and touch!
It would play Red light, Green Light and Hide N Seek like the 1998 Furbys, you can also feed your Furby, as with all of the other Furbys. It can make expressions, such as sad, mad, and happy!
Furby Chatterboxes would feature large tailfeathers akin to a real owl, along with a tall stature like 2005 Furbys, ears like the Furby Connect, and projected eyes like the 2012 Furbys!

I am going to make a Furby Party Rocker story
The name of it is "The Tale of the Party Rockers". It'll be about the rockers themselves, lead by Fussby. When I get Affinity novel maker, I would make it into a novel, but for now, I'll make a draft of the story on the WordPad application. The synopsis is that the rockers are starting their career in being a rock band, and Fussby had a solo career before. It would be about the daily lives of the rockers from the first day of working on their career to their harder challenges. Parts of it would involve the Gogee Penguins trying to rival the rockers as a band to invite to parties. There would be moments where the rockers and the penguins would have a band battle that involves them rocking out to see if Fussby could beat the penguins in an e…

what to do!
so I have a small problem, or rather, my brother has it. My brother also collects furby and already on February 12 he will receive his first boom, well, he has several furby 2012, one of them is the color of twilight. Well, in short, after the next purchase of batteries for his furby, he inserted them in Dave (his name is Furby), he started to get very buggy. After that, he came to visit me and told me everything I have listed, we put new batteries in his Furby, but he is still buggy !! there may be a problem in the motor, but so far this is one of the versions why it doesn’t work well, but it’s not yet a fact that it’s true. No matter what batteries we put in (we took new ones), it lagged. I hope someone knows what’s wrong

I recently had the opportunity to buy a new Furby.I couldn't find myself one of the newbies since most of the furbies were bought. I was very upset, but at one point I found a rare 2000 Furby from McDonald's.He was part of a series of 4 furby my color was an owl.There are very few of them on ebay, at least I haven’t seen them there, or I’ve seen them but very rarely.This guy is on his way to me.
Why can't I post on forums?
I need to do it so I can say "Why can I comment on McFurbies?" And maybe someone on the blog can reply so I can comment "The girl isn't even listening to music, why is she holding it to her ear?"

Hey all! Name's Bunny. Long time lurker of the Wiki, first time poster. I became nostalgic about Furbies a couple months ago and now have a mini collection started since I haven't rescued mine and my sisters' 1998s from my father's house. Currently trying to get one that's new in box started lol, I really don't want to skin it to get it working ;_;
My husband has been driven nuts with me turning these babes on, especially the Connect I got because I plan to play with him
I plan to turn the one I bought in April into an Amazon Alexa or some other AI, at least, if I can let him go haha. He's adorable and sweet and at least I'll have his motherboard and such I can implant in another Furby but dang he's precious

I've been sick recently so I haven't been active lately but I'm doing way better now than before. I I had some sort of fever like I had stuffy and runny nose sore throat, Felt really sleepy etc. I still feel sick but not as much . Something interesting I found out about the Furby island website homepage
While decompiling the Mainscreen.swf site, I decided to look at the scripts to see if I could find any external links or something that could've been archived as well, and to my surprise I found out the site is made up of multiple SWF files as seen here:
Each of these SWF files serve their own purpose too:
mainscreen_frame.swf: The frame of the website, determines what language you want to play in and gives you the appropraite logo, "Furby Island" being 'Engelska' and "Furbee Island" being 'Deutsch', and also has a drop down menu and icons and whatnot, along with a sound that plays for selecting things.

Future of this wikia
Official Furby Wiki has come a long way since being started years ago, but theres a few things that make me think this wiki should be nuked and restarted:
- "Official Furby Wiki" was obviously, a bad name. I believe this name was chosen in order to make it the most viewed Furby Wiki. Around this time this wiki was started, there were a couple other Furby Wikis. But this one became the most visited and edited, likely because of the name. Well, this Wiki has never been affiliated with Hasbro and never likely will be. I made an attempt to appeal to Fandom to change the URL of the wiki but they refused saying because the wiki was so busy and had so many pages, and its age, that the wiki was stuck with its URL. Bummer. At least I tried.

Purple Furby wall clock mystery solved.
Remember this purple Furby clock that is on the unconfirmed merchandise page. Well, I found it online and purchased it to dissect it and put this mystery to rest once and for all.
Please note: I took off the clear acrylic covering for all these photos I'm about to share because the glares from it were atrocious. lol
The clock overall contains no trademarks or logos. Nothing with the Furby or Hasbro name on it. This has lead me to believe, along with my photographic evidence that the clock is indeed, fake. It's simply just a homemade item probably made by someone as a gift of sorts. An unfortunate ending to the mystery but at least we finally have a pretty conclusive answer.
